Gift Certificates
When you buy a gift certificate you may specify a dollar amount and let the recipient choose the therapist and/or the specific services he or she wants. Or you may specify these yourself. By law, gift certificates expire within two years of being purchased from the Ayurveda Center. (It is likely this law will change for service related industries.) However, we encourage recipients to use the certificate soon before they forget. Gift certificates are nonrefundable, but can be transferred to someone else. Credit cards accepted. Chair Massage
Chair massage provides both relaxation and revitalization, often improving subsequent work performance. This can be a special treat for employees.

At Our Office: $20/15 minutes + $1/minute thereafter.

At Your Location: $60/hour plus travel ($10 within 5 miles). One-hour minimum. After the first hour it will be $1/minute. Here is how to calculate your costs. If you are planning an event, calculate 5 minutes in between each participant. [We must take a brief medical history to ensure no contraindications, as well as clean the chair in between people.] In other words, if you want your guests to receive 15-minute massages, plan on 3 per hour. If you want them to receive 10-minute massages, plan on 4 massages per hour. With sufficient notice, we can schedule up to 4 therapists to attend your event. Think about this service for a staff appreciation day, conference break, party, sporting event, etc.
Out Calls
We prefer to conduct massages at the office where our equipment and materials are convenient. But we will travel to your location under a couple of conditions.

1. For people with special physical conditions. Our office is accessible in terms of handicapper needs, including a table that lowers to 18” for chair transfer. Even with that, from time to time people are physically unable to come to the office. In those special cases, we will schedule out call appointments. Travel costs will be added to the cost of the massage services.
2. For events during which multiple table massages are needed (e.g., sporting events, conferences). If there is an occasion for which three or more people are requesting massage, we will send one or more therapists to your location. We do not send our therapists to conduct massage in an individual’s hotel room, however, we may be able to rent a space at a conference site. Travel costs and other expenses (e.g., room rental) will be added to the cost of the massage services.

Ginger Compress
Brief massage of low back followed by 30 minutes of warm compress of a fresh ginger decoction. Usually done on the kidney area to warm the body and increase kidney energy, this compress can also be done on joints. $65 ($60 as an add-on service, after massage.)
Castor Pack
Brief abdominal massage followed by 30 minutes of a warm compress of castor oil to stimulate lymphatic flow, relieve congestion, facilitate abdominal organs. $45. ($40 as an add-on service, after massage.)
Ear Candling
Using hollow, conically shaped beeswax candles, the treatment gently cleanses the outer ear of excess wax and debris, while clearing the channels of the middle ear of excess fluid. Ear candling is an ancient method of clearing the channels of the head. This treatment is approximately 30 minutes for $45 ($40 as an add-on service after massage).
Add On Services:
Picchu: 20 minutes of resting with warm herbalized oil on forehead to calm the mind, performed after a massage. $15.

Hot Towel Treatment: 12 hot towels to drive in the massage oil and wipe off the excess, as an add-on to massage. Luxurious! $15.
Packages
Some of our therapists offer package deals to their weekly massage clients (e.g., giving a discount for a series of 5 massages). Ask your therapist if this is of interest. And all of our therapist offer discounts on combining basic services together or chosing a service and adding on. For example:

Speaking Engagements
Some staff members are available to give seminars and educational presentations. For example, Dr. Roberson has presented a talk on Ayurvedic principles to Oak Ridge National Laboratory Human Resources staff. After the talk, Ayurveda Center staff provided chair massages to all participants.
